We are heavily into disaster modeling: cellular automata modeling of landslides via an ultra-discretization of Burger's euation; and we now have two graduate students working on storm surges using the full Navier-Stokes Equation.
With our doctoral student, we now simulate a continuous reactor, seeking to optimize hydrogen production via Markov Chain-Monte Carlo methods, and study the optima using dynamical systems techniques.
