Orthogonal polynomials have a property that they satisfy a three-term recurrence of the form
The Legendre polynomials satisfy the following three-term recurrence
Start with k=1 to obtain P2 given that P0=1 and P1=t
Start with k=1 to obtain P2 given that P0=1 and P1=t
k=2 , to obtain P3
k=2 , to obtain P3
k=3 , to obtain P4
k=3 , to obtain P4
lastly, k=4 , to obtain P5
lastly, k=4 , to obtain P5
